This group program promotes healthy lifestyle changes that are realistic and simple. It’s a simple program to teach you how to achieve that healthier lifestyle you desire.   We will set goals that are realistic and attainable, shop together and have group forums and discussions on selected topics.

Living Better with Multiple Sclerosis

This new and exciting program is designed for those living with multiple sclerosis or for those who care for someone with the disease. Sessions include instruction in diet and healthy eating, meal planning and preparation, exercise and movement, and lifestyle and stress management. This is a scientific evidence- based program which provides up to the minute research recommendations. The goal is to help those with MS understand the relationship between their diet, their lifestyle and the disease. An overview of the disease as well as tips and strategies for living with MS will be addressed. 

Topics include: healthy eating with MS, dietary fat, vitamin deficiencies related to MS, fight fatigue with your fork, weight & energy balance, meal planning, alternative/integrative & complementary medicine used with MS. Plus much more!. Also, the various complementary/ alternative medicine and integrative strategies related to MS. In addition, lifestyle changes and stress management techniques are discussed.

Diabetes Support Clinic

This is an interactive group program designed for those who are newly diagnosed with diabetes as well as those who are having difficulty managing the disease. It is based on current scientific research and offers up to the minute information on diabetes care. There will be an overview of the disease, the risk factors and the complications. Basic carbohydrate counting and meal planning will be taught. Lifestyle changes and strategies to better manage diabetes will be discussed. There will be a segment on foot care as well as how to incorporate  fitness to better manage the disease.
